Israel/Jordan Day 0 - Worship in the Waiting

We are meeting our group at the Charlotte airport this afternoon (Sunday) so we flew into Charlotte yesterday rather than try to drive to Nashville and fly into Charlotte the same day.  Did I also mention the tickets on Southwest were really cheap for a Saturday flight?

The downside is that we are sitting in a hotel with no car and very little to do for the better part of the day.  We are planning to run through a few of the songs we are leading before leaving our hotel room around noon.  Yes, there are a few rough spots still but I'm not stressing.  I just want to make everything go as smoothly as possible.  Singing solo with no music or rhythm can be challenging.

Here are the songs we are doing on the trip:

Tuesday, March 21st
West view of the Dead Sea – “Wayfaring Stranger”
View where John the Baptist was beheaded – “Deliver Us”
Wednesday, March 22nd

Mount Nebo (Mount Pisgah) – “Sweet Hour of Prayer/On Jordan’s Stormy Banks I Stand”
Thursday, March 23rd

We visit a Roman amphitheater – “Find us Faithful”
Friday, March 24th, Day 6

Sea of Galilee boat ride – “Master of the Sea”
Saturday, March 25th, Day 7

Jordan River baptism – “Shall We Gather at the River”
Sunday, March 26th, Day 8

Prison that kept Jeremiah – “A Mighty Fortress is our God”
Monday, March 27th, Day 8

Pilate’s judgement hall   - “Were You There?”
Bethlehem - “Emmanuel”
Tuesday, March 28th, Day 10

Garden of Gethsemane – “Gethsemane Hymn”
Upper Room - “Holy Ground”
Golgotha – “The Wonderful Cross”
Garden tomb – Communion – “Behold the Lamb”
Last evening - “God Be with You” for the last night

So as we rehearse and prepare one final time, my desire is that we will worship in the waiting.
