We're going just a little crazy this week preparing for our trip to Jordan and Israel. Besides packing and getting all of the miscellaneous items collected, we also have to leave our little homestead in a state that is easy for our son to maintain.
But even now in the midst of this craziness I know that God is preparing our hearts for an incredible blessing, even as He has already "blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places"(Eph. 1:3, ESV), even as He has already blessed us with our new family at The Solid Rock Baptist Church, and the list could go on and on.
There shall be showers of blessing as D.W. Whittle wrote:

There shall be showers of blessing as D.W. Whittle wrote:
There shall be showers of blessing:
This is the promise of love;
There shall be seasons refreshing,
Sent from the Savior above.
There shall be showers of blessing--
Precious reviving again;
Over the hills and the valleys,
Sound of abundance of rain.
There shall be showers of blessing:
Send them upon us, O Lord;
Grant to us now a refreshing;
Come and now honor Thy word.
There shall be showers of blessing:
Oh, that today they might fall,
Now as to God we're confessing,
Now as on Jesus we call!
I started writing this to primarily checkout the blog layout and theme colors and here I am pontificating ...
As a music guy I often relate thoughts or ideas to song lyrics or titles. Today is no exception. As we pack, as we prepare ourselves in confident expectation of an amazing trip with dear friends may the words of As You Go be our motto:
May you go in the love of your Father God
May you go in the grace of Christ
May you go in the power of the Spirit now
To bring Him glory with your life
Soli Deo gloria
Randy
